Yeah, we know it's been up on the Mod Coll site for a couple of days. Still, have you seen a better oop than this? And is there anyone in the world surfing better than this guy at the moment?

Dion Agius spent two weeks with him in Indonesia recently. This is what he had to say:

"I felt like a retard on that trip. The shit he’d do per surf was out of control. He’d get like five, six, seven, eight A-class clips a surf. Most guys would be getting one every ten surfs. His whole repertoire is already so good and it’s only gonna get more polished. We were surfing Periscopes and I would say he was surfing the same, if not better, than Parko in STF. His backhand is out of control, he's got big backhand and forehand punts and he’s doing innovative shit."

Until Jordy dominates at big pipe and similar locations you can't call him the best surfer.

comparing Jay to Jordys is fucken embarrasing - Jay didnt even make that shot on the cover of waves....

Dane is still the best he just doesnt need to whore himself out like the others to prove it!......All the crew tied up with modern collective are all about self promotion.......not really danes scene.

Sir Lancelot, at this point he has not filmed with Kai besides in France when he broke his ankle. It's possible they get footage of him from another filmer and put it in, or he decides to go on a trip with the crew but as of now I believe Dane is not in this movie (at least with a predominant role).

I work for ASL and Nuggets claim about Waves magazine cover is true, Jordys air is small compared to the waves cover. Stab are obviously getting second hand left over cheap photos from b grade photographers

agree lemonada, there's nothing like seeing a big man rip.

as a 6'1" 105kg shortboarder this move makes me most amped because of the fact he's a unit. am so sick of little boys and men like dane and taj doing air. bring on the big man - it reminds of when luke egan started doin 'em.

Tom Carey has the full sequence of it. I made a little quicktime clip out of the 10fps photos and watched it about a billion times. And yes, Jordy has officially taken over Dane as best surfer in the world. Seems like Dane might have regressed a bit with that hurt ankle. If you fuck up your ankle bad you won't be right for a long time. It sucks.

Hopefully this stuff inspires Dane to get back on it and start blowing minds again. He should be in this movie.

Jordy's stance looks good in this ally oop.
On some of his airs his stance looks like the full poo man- one foot on the tail and the other up near the nose, when your 6'4" it just looks weird.
