Sick line ups yesterday
Posted on July 14, 2009
By the looks of things everywhere was pumping yesterday. It was hard to decide which way to go. We headed south. We scored a sick left which we surfed with only 6 guys out until a strong SW wind came out of nowhere. Couldn't believe it! Along the way home we scored another little spot just north of the Gong....There were peaks everywhere just going off! Have a good day....

10 days in Bali...
Posted on July 11, 2009
Back in May i went to Bali with a few of the old boys from the World tour. Life's changed for the lads but one thing remains the same. They all still rip the bag out of it. We had a lack of swell the whole time with no love over 4ft, that didn't matter as this was a chance for all of them to catch up once again and talk about the good ol times and to also spend time with their families. On the flat days i headed into the hills of Ubud and it's beautiful surrounding villages to meet the true people that keep...

In the Shire
Posted on July 7, 2009
I had an Airport run super early this morning. I thought that i may as well keep heading south and have a go at shooting somewhere different. From a photographers point of view it was a breath of fresh air and a welcomed change with a totally new environment to get stuck into. I'm keen to head North later in the week! Hope your day is going great guns! Brad

No Mondayitis here!
Posted on July 6, 2009
It was a restless sleep last night. I could hear the crashing waves thumping into Tama hard. I woke well before the usual time today phsyced to get in the water and shoot something. I walked out at sunrise and i could feel the westerley wind ice chilled on my face. I was going crazy thinking of where to shoot and which one of the boys had a day off. I did the rounds early and i got a couple of Bronte. The tide was on it and the wind was blowing everyone back up the face. Bill Morris and i took a ski for a c...

Bondi "The Sound of breaking waters"
Posted on July 2, 2009
Bondi is amazing. It has so much to offer. There is everything you could ever want here. Great pubs, Rsl's, unreal coffee and some amazing locals. The most beautiful thing about Bondi though i reckon is the array of colours in the sunrises. It is so spectacular and i could watch the sky change it's mood for hours on end. While i was in this spot this morning it was very quite. No wind, no machinery, no traffic. Iwas on the South headland which is known as Mckenzies point. You could here the sound of breakin...

My photographic journey started about 5 yrs ago where i was lucky enough to work and travel on a huge private yacht for 4yrs. Let me say that living with 16 other crew for that long was a test of patience and loads of head noise. We travelled all through Europe and the Caribbean and inbetween washing the boat and scrubbing the decks for the boss man i used to spend my spare time shooting in the small towns or ports we would sail into. I've surfed inside the Med in Spain at Barcelona, Porto Banus and Viarrigio in Italy and have also had a wave with Jimmy Buffet on the French Island of St Barthelemy in the Caribbean. It's hard being home. I'm a traveller at heart and i get itchy feet like nothing else.
My love for surfing and photography drove me to start a surfing website called http://www.frothers.com.au, which with the help of one of my best mates "Morg's" has become a popular webby for the locals here in the Eastern suburbs of Sydney. It showcase's all the core locals and also gives other up and comer photographers a chance to show their work. I'm up every morning without fail shooting from Bondi to Maroubra. Crazy as i have a full time job on the beach as a lifeguard. Sometime's its hard with the waves around here and often i find i lack inspiration as it's usually garbage but every now and then we nail a few beauty's which keeps that passion and dream alive
It's been great having a look at everyone's work. You don't have to go far to look for talented photographers not to mention some fantastic inspiration. If your like me i can look through mags all day or the many surfing websites online and just dream of nailing a shot that would be seen all around the world in surf shops and mags. I do envy the pro's, but it hasn't come easy for them either. They have all slogged it out. I hope that one day my shots will speak for themselves. I might just need some help from Dustin to get there!
Hope you like my shots. Stab me up. Go on do it!
