Made a trip to NSW in my holidays and managed to time it with one of the swells of the year up to this point. Went with a bodyboarding friend so the majority of shots are of bodyboarding/empties...but managed to get a bit of standup stuff too.

Its hard....really really hard. Now by no stretch of the imagination do i bludge...i mean, last sunday rather than getting to surf i did 17 hours of homework, no jokes. massive hangover too, that part was worth it though. I reckon i spend more money on coffee to keep me awake for doing homework now than i spend on petrol to get to surf

Knights is the wave that inspired my love for surf photography...that being said 95% of the time its a very average wave, a shallow closeout with no real shape infested by a pack of 30+ groms in summer in particular. But for the other 5% of the time its a heavy sidewave wedge with some really heavy barrels and bowls. Usually reserved for bodyboarding you get an occasional surfer out there on a really South Swell Enjoy
