IT'S A STRANGE WORLD. SOME PEOPLE GET RICH AND OTHERS EAT SHIT AND DIE.

Rick Atget is a Frenchman educated at the University of Western Australia, and currently working on his PhD at the University of California, Santa Barbara. After humble surf debuts in the Mediterranean sea, Rick has now surfed most of the Australian West coast, Indonesia, Japan, France, and the North American Pacific coast. A taste for travel and people photography, combined with a complete lack of motivation to carry large Tele lenses around the world forged him into a fervent worshiper of the Leica rangefinder with normal, or wide-angle lenses. Rick can be sighted most nights roaming the street of Isla Vista with good friend Dan Cooper in search of the American Dream.

[June update] Dan Cooper found his dream job in San Francisco and is saving the world from corporate America. He is currently organizing a global embargo on Uzbek cotton. He has not surfed once in the last three months.
