Apologies about the two posts in a row (I know it peev's some peeps) but I've finally got some shit to load up and its not like anyone else is anyway... Anyway a few pics of me bro on some small peelers down at Baldy Point, Wye River...
For those not in the loop Baldy was regarded as one of the best spots down the coast back in the day before being annihilated for the good part of the last 20 years thanks to the storm of the century, Finally its got a bitta that sand back and neat bank and had a few nice lines peelin down it. (although it may have again been destroyed last week due to devil winds & shit swell combo)
The locals began climbin' outta their drug dens, squinting at the sun and singing praise to Huey for their saviour.Reactions were much the same with the regulars, everyone of them I met spoke of the return of Baldy in hushed tones, not wanting to jinx or ruin it.
Unfortuantly Summer down here in Vic didn't offer up much, and our prayers go out to Huey to keep the bank intact for the Autumn swells, a few overhead days yeilded results but no pics of 'em here, who the fuck photographs when its that good anyway?
The final tally of damage over the summer spent at Wye is as such: 1 fin through the underside of my board (due to my consistant burning of lil' bro) and a few dings on the rocks, 1 fin missin' from both my dad and bro's fav boards, fractured ribs to my dad, scalped, scrapes and a battered foot to me and various bruises to Luke courtesy of the "Baldy" & "See you next Tuesday" rocks, a majorly bruised back to me thanks to a drainer at "Seconds" and a battered ego to moi' going over the falls in front the gallery on a decent day at Baldy.
